颯太と妻・早矢。
早矢は元陸上部で、以前は運動の苦手な夫・颯太を引っ張ってランニングしていました。
しかし現在、すっかりマラソンにハマった颯太。
仕事やマラソンに夢中になりますが、逆に早矢は今では走らなくなり、酒に溺れる引きこもり生活を。
マラソンサークルを運営する颯太に、人妻の美麻から「合宿に参加したい」と電話がかかってきました。
電話の向こうから聞こえる声が明らかにあえぎ声。なんとも言えない気持ちになる颯太でした。
合宿当日、颯太は美麻からこっそり教えられました。
「夫が颯太さんとの不倫を疑ってたから、仕方なくHしながら電話したんです」と。
そんな中、走っていた美麻の夫の具合が悪くなり、颯太も病院へ付き添いに。
そんな颯太に美麻はある事実を見抜き、颯太に強く伝えるのでした。
「あなたの奥さんに伴走してあげて…」と。
早矢を大切にしていなかったことに気づく颯太。
一方家出していた早矢ですが、その時はまさに卓弥と浮気する寸前でした。
しかし颯太からの電話で思いとどまり、外へ駆け出します。
そこには合宿所から走ってきた颯太が。
2人は互いに大切な存在であったことに改めて気付き、そして抱きしめ合うのでした。

2年前。
早矢と同じ会社で同僚だった夫・颯太は妻に誘われフルマラソンを走ることに。
始めはめんどくさがっていた颯太ではありましたが、

運動経験ほぼ無し。そんな颯太にとってフルマラソンのトレーニングは
はじめは過酷で拷問のように感じるものでした。
またマラソンの力量として妻の早矢が自分より上を行っていることに苛立ちのあった颯太も
今ではすっかりそのマラソンの力量を上げ、
加えてマラソンサークルでの仲間との出会いや、純粋に走る楽しさに気づき、
今ではすっかりハマっていました。
「妻に負けたくない」
そんな思いを捨てられず、ずっと颯太はこれまでマラソンの練習中や
普段の生活でも早矢に対し高圧的な態度をとっていましたが、
ある日自分がマラソンを楽しんでいるのとは反比例するように、
妻がマラソンに対しての燃え尽きを感じており、それはまるで
マラソンが彼女にとって拷問のように見えるようになっていました。

走ることを辞めた早矢は、
今では以前のような溌剌とした空気もなくなり、

当時、夫の酒癖、お酒への依存症に悩んでいた和香でしたが、
「誰とでもいいからセックスしたい って気分になるんです」
そうつぶやくも、すぐに否定、

「今は誰かと楽しくランニングトークがしたい気分です♪」
明るく話す彼女の言葉を聞いて、あらためて颯太は妻・早矢のことを想うのでした。

押さえられない気持ちから、スマホで自宅にいる早矢にメッセージを送る颯太。
颯太は早矢がマラソンを辞めてから初めて妻に謝りました。

これまでの妻への競争意識があったことを素直に告白する颯太。
最初に夫に無理やりマラソンを強要したのは自分であった、と謝る早矢。
2人の想いは、実は共通していたのでした。

100km離れた場所にいた2人。

ということで、原作の早矢さんは不倫は誰ともしてません！それはちょっと余計かな…
とは思いましたが。ただ他キャストの兼ね合い、という意味では許容範囲の変更でしょうか。
マラソンの荒い息遣いとエッチな息遣いが電話で一瞬ミスリード、というのはドラマっぽくておもしろかったですね。
